Celebrating Our First Medical Student Scholarship Completion!

I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all! We have successfully completed our first medical student scholarship! This journey began on December 10, 2022, when our scholar was in her third year. Now, she has passed her finals with a Second Class and even earned a distinction in Psychiatry! She has also joined the Faculty of Medicine as a Research Assistant.

A special thank you to Nirasha, our sponsor, for making this possible. What’s even more remarkable is that neither Nirasha nor I have ever met, and none of us (the three of us) knew each other before!

I wanted to share this joyous news with you all because it’s such a proud moment to see our first UNI Scholar doing so well. Additionally, I’m happy to announce that we now have 12 university scholarships ongoing!

Initially, we supported each student with Rs. 7,500 per month, but thanks to this amazing group of donors, we’ve been able to increase it to Rs. 15,000 per month. That’s a significant amount!
